CLEAR EXPECTATIONS

Terms of use

These terms govern your use of BetterMe. By using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use BetterMe.

Effective 4 August 2026 · Version 1.0

1. The service

BetterMe is provided by EMBIRO TECHNOLOGIES (U) LIMITED. It helps you organise calendars, track personal challenges, plan and log workouts, review aggregate fitness and recovery information, and use guarded AI-assisted recommendations. Features may change during private or closed testing.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 and legally able to agree to these terms. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, safeguarding access to your email and Google account, and activity under your BetterMe account. Access may be limited to approved testers.

3. Fitness and health disclaimer

BetterMe is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services. Workout, recovery, calorie, and health information is educational and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Consult a qualified professional before starting or changing an exercise programme, especially if you have pain, injury, illness, pregnancy, or medical restrictions. Stop exercising and seek appropriate help if you feel unsafe or experience concerning symptoms. Never delay professional care because of BetterMe.

4. AI limitations

AI-generated schedules, workouts, explanations, and images can make mistakes. Exercise images are illustrative and must be used with the reviewed text. Deterministic safeguards reduce risk but do not replace your judgment or professional advice. You remain responsible for deciding whether a recommendation is appropriate and safe.

5. Calendar and connected services

You authorise BetterMe to access only the Google calendars and device-health categories you select. External calendar events remain read-only. BetterMe writes only to its dedicated calendar. Google, Apple, Health Connect, and other third-party services are governed by their own terms and may become unavailable.

6. Acceptable use

You may not misuse BetterMe, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security or availability, reverse engineer the service where prohibited, upload unlawful or harmful content, impersonate another person, or use the service to violate law or another person’s rights. You may use BetterMe only for personal, lawful purposes unless Embiro agrees otherwise in writing.

7. Your content and licence

You retain ownership of information and content you provide. You grant Embiro a limited licence to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve BetterMe according to the Privacy Policy and your consent choices. You represent that you have the rights needed to provide the content.

8. Embiro property

BetterMe, its software, design, branding, documentation, and generated service materials are owned by Embiro or its licensors and protected by applicable law. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use BetterMe; they do not transfer ownership.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue features, including testing features, for security, legal, technical, or product reasons. We may suspend access for misuse or material breach.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BetterMe is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Embiro is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for injury or loss caused by reliance on recommendations, third-party services, unavailable data, or user decisions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Ending use

You may stop using BetterMe and delete your account at any time. We may end access if you materially breach these terms or if required for security or law. Sections that by nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and liability—continue to apply.

12. Governing terms and contact

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to EMBIRO TECHNOLOGIES (U) LIMITED, without overriding mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. We will try to resolve disputes in good faith. Contact hello@embiro.com.
